The Volksbank Pay App offers a seamless and contactless payment experience using your smartphone. After installing the app, users can activate their digital debit card in just a few steps. This feature enables you to leave your physical debit card at home while allowing you to make payments on the go. Simply hold your smartphone near an NFC-enabled payment terminal to transact amounts up to €50 without entering a PIN. For transactions exceeding this limit, a PIN entry is required at the point-of-sale terminal, mirroring the experience with a physical card.

Transferring money to your contacts has never been easier with the ZOIN functionality. This feature allows users to send funds directly and in real-time to contacts saved on their smartphones, including those banking with other Austrian financial institutions. Transfers can be executed without needing the recipient's IBAN or BIC, only their mobile phone number. The app sets a daily transfer limit of €400 and a weekly limit of €1,000.

Additionally, the Volksbank Pay App allows for efficient management of all your customer cards in one place. Customers can save and organize their existing loyalty cards within the app, enabling them to scan these cards at checkout. This process retains all benefits associated with physical cards, such as discounts and point accumulation.

To ensure maximum security, the Volksbank Pay App employs SCA-compliant login protocols. Accessing the app requires a username and password along with a verification code from your Volksbank ID App. For more convenience, users can activate fingerprint login for easy access. It is recommended that users keep fingerprint access personal and refrain from granting others access to their devices.
